Away. So Very Far Away.

Posted by simplyrosalyn On October - 12 - 2009

We are so fond of Vegas that we come here ever too often. We actually would like to get a home here in the next year if God permits. I love the fun and endless sleep... and yes, I am now becoming upfront about not liking it much in California. California is California, there is no place as beautiful as it is. I just don't like Alyssa growing up to a place where she people think she cannot do anything right. C'mon, she is just a kid. Give her a break. Whenever it's just the three of us, Alyssa behaves a hundred times better. I guess that's one reason why I get so frustrated because "the others" would actually find satisfaction when they see her throwing tantrums. And when Alyssa is on her quiet moods, they would say smart-mouth comments like: "Bakit ang bait mo ngayon ha?" Excuse me.

These are factors driving me away every single day. I feel like nobody deserves to be pushed around and be under someone so domineering and manipulative. I wouldn't... and I don't want Alyssa to be around other people who are just so inconsiderate. Those ones who talk without even thinking what the others might feel. Or those ones who says all flowery things when around you, and stabs you in the back when you aren't looking. Very irritating. I don't need them to make me feel down... I haven't been inferior and if their goal is to make me one, I am sorry to say but I don't welcome the thought - not even a fragment of it.

Oh, the negativity. It is very alienating. Even if I try not to think about it, it sure can creep and finds its way to my mind.

From PMA to Maryknoll

Posted by simplyrosalyn On March - 19 - 2009

I didn't know we're going out today. So when my Mom told me to change my clothes, I thought we're just going to the neighboring university grounds for a walk. Instead, I found myself together with Grampa, Lola Nicing, Uncle Resti, Auntie Wendy Chloe and Eros heading to PMA. Lola was not able to make it with us because she had some stuff to do at home. It was a long 30-minute winding drive. Manong Eros was about to throw up when we arrived at the Academy.

PMA is a very nice place. Just like always, Mommy took some macro pictures of bees on pretty sunflowers planted in front of the administration. It was pretty hot but I didn't even care at all. I am just happy to be there.

With the Family

Posted by simplyrosalyn On March - 16 - 2009

I love it when Mommy is home because we get to do fun stuff. This afternoon, we went to the market encounter for Gramma Nicing to shop for souvenirs of the Fiesta. With me on her arms, she managed to take some pictures of the knick knacks sold at the encounter. One of my favorite is this snapshot of wooden roosters, they really look like the real ones.

Mommy loved these green hanging earrings with embossed white flower. And because she thinks the Asian Characters are awesome, she said she's got to have this on her collection.

Even if it was so hot outside, it was still so much fun! Before we left for the day, we stopped by Jollibee to enjoy some pancit palabok, fried chicken and spaghetti. Here are pictures of today's outing with the family:

First time on the Beach

Posted by simplyrosalyn On March - 13 - 2009

Daddy and Mommy took me to Newport Beach for the first time when I was 7 months. They said I was scared of the sand and the water... Here are some pictures they took during that trip to see the ocean.
