I Survived Alyssa’s first book report. After trying to figure out how to start on it, I finally used the power of the internet and Googled what are the components of 2nd Grade book report. I was going to let her just do it until I read about the core standards of the report. They are very specific and the report is graded by page. They also wanted it as colorful as possible and as creative as you can get. That’s when I decided to help out…

At first, I had Rolly printed some images in the web. I thought it would be very easy to just cut and paste, or maybe even trace the picture. As we started with that route, it didn’t look well thought of. So I decided to try my luck in drawing. I know I am not anywhere good to Julmard Vicente’s talent but I did try painting at one point in time. “TRY” being the operative word. It was a passion I acquired from my Dad. But I haven’t attempted to draw or paint in over ten years until yesterday when I helped Alyssa with her 2nd Grade book report. I think I did better than I expected… It is not as accurate as my Dad would have wanted it, but: Pwede na yan, 2nd Grade naman eh…
