Christmas 2011

Christmas is just a day ahead. Shopping and gift wrapping: Done. All gifts under the tree and this year, it looked like Santa's been extra busy! Despite being so tired and exhausted, I share Alyssa's excitement for the holidays! I am just glad Dr Safie oficially placed me on bed rest since the 20th. I seriously need one. I am all swollen and my blood pressure has been acting up on me. And this dull headache doesn't want to go away. I might have been off earlier if I did not make a change with my medical group. I missed two Dr's appointment just because I had to wait for authorization from Trivalley. Yup, HMO insurance is a pain! But, it was worth all the wait, I guess, knowing that I can now give birth at LLUMC - and seeing the best doctors in Murrieta. No complaints whatsoever. At least I know both Alyssa and the baby will be covered under Rolly's PPO, so no problems with that.

.

So, it has been four days since I was off work. Aside from the holiday stuff that needs to get done, we're pretty much staying home. I actually want to do something special, like go to the mountains or something. But with my condition and with the fear of going on early delivery, I don't want to be anywhere but here. I just wish this one will be as easy as when I gave birth to Alyssa. But, I doubt it since my current condition is far way too different from my first pregnancy five years ago. However, I cannot wait to get over it.

.

Speaking of wishes... This Christmas, all I wish is to give birth to a healthy baby. I feel like all my material needs have been fufilled and there is nothing more I could ask for but for my family's good health specially with this little one we are expecting. The last months few months were a little tough for everyone... with Mama being in the hospital for days and with Tatay's health problems, it is hard to celebrate like we are used to. In fact, this year we will not be seeing the family for Christmas eve since Tatay cannot travel far. We opted on a quick get together on Christmas day instead... lunch at Ate Myla's house and gift giving. No more staying up until midnight. It works well on my advantage as well since I cannot stay up late, too. Hopefully, next year will be a better year. For the moment, we just have to be thankful. God has been good...
