If you just updated your IPad OS, you might have encountered “serious” application sound problem like me. I did everything to fix it, turned it off, reload the apps, I even restored everything – which took me a day- basically starting from scratch. Still, no sound in the morning when I woke up  and the sync was all done. So I googled it, which I should have done in the first place.

Apple, as I learned, changed some of their settings. For the Application sound, make sure to slide the button on top of the volume so that the orange dot is covered. This used to be the orientation lock, which you can still revert back as such by going through your IPad’s settings. Just by sliding the button will unmute all the applications you have.
