Ate Lynne and the rest of the PEDRO (Philippine Emergency and Disaster Relief Organization) officers will be dining with Philippine President Arroyo on the 21st somewhere in Orange County. This dinner-program is for the GMA to make the organization an official disaster unit outside of the Philippines. I myself am a witness of the hard works and dedication of the members and officers raising money continuously, and not only during calamities.
Ate Lynne is excited about the dinner she even had her dress made to order. Then again, it is Ate Lynne. She would spend a lot of money on shopping... I don't think she ever bought something at Target or Walmart! Lol! She is addicted to Bloomingdale's and Macey's. And yeah, she never forgets Alyssa when she shops. Poor Mummie Rosalyn... I guess I have to start saving money for her wardrobe too in case she gets used to Ate Lynne's expensive pampering!
Anyways, here is the gown design by Eric Sarpaulo. The finish product will be traveling thousands of miles in the next couple of days. I can't wait to see how fabulous Ate Lynne would look like on it! 'Will be posting pics when she forwards some in the next week or two.

I am almost there. And along the way are too many hurdles I have to jump over to get through the journey. Nevertheless, knowing I am a halfway there is very rewarding. I know I sacrificed Alyssa's precious time with her Dad, left a pretty good job and nice people that became part of my daily routine... but, it is all part of the process. At the end, all these will just be fragments of a challenging yet well-traveled road.
As I have said a million times before, I am equiped with way so many inspirations that push me up to where I want to be. And said inspirations come on different faces... my family who always join their hands around me on uplifting manner. My daughter who never fails to shine over me. And my husband whom I miss so dearly and will be seeing pretty soon.
One step at a time... it's what it takes to make everything happen. I am coasting with the wind and drifting with the clouds, keeping my hopes high. Knowing that with faith, patience and perseverance, there is no such thing as impossible.

At home in La Trinidad. It rained all night, in the morning when I went out of the balcony I saw all these tiny droplets hanging in the clothesline. So I took up some pictures and they turned out good. Check this one out! for the complete gallery click on this link!

Ok! I am so upset! I was going through my email and I found an old one from my Hosting Provider about the cancelation of www.GraphiTea.com! I was furious! Why would they cancel it!? And they said on the email that if this is a mistake to email the costumer service and that's why I did? This is what they have to say:

Five years in the marriage and believe me, I've been into countless of arguments with my husband. Some serious, a most of them 'am not even sure how and why it started. Now that I am thousands of miles away from him, we still get into it. But I notice that before we end up our conversation during a fight (serious or not), we try to come into terms with each other.
But what is the argument gets nasty and no one is backing down? Ok... here are some tips (aside from the usual advice of NOT CALLING OUT NAMES) I would like to share. And of course, depending on your situation you can alter each one to fit whatever is going on...
1. DO Practice being COOL. Most of the times when you are fighting with each other, you tend to raise your voice and what you are trying to say gets lost on the tone and pitch of your voice. The way you say it and how the other person hears it interferes with good communication.
2. DO PACE before saying something. On a hightened emotion, the chances are whatever comes to mind you say it. It is very hard to stop when you started arguing. It actually helps when you are moving around than just by sitting or standing alone. If you are able to leave the room for a brief moment or walk from one point to another on the room before blurting out a word, it can help loosen your thoughts and emotions.
3. DO Speak rather than Talk. DO Listen rather than Hear. They may sound the same from each other but they actually aren't. Speaking is saying something with sense, and talking is merely uttering words just to have something to say. Listening is when you take in words and actually process it in your mind while Hearing on the other hand is when you take the words in and not understand it at all. When you are able to practice Speaking and Listening skills, you will have a greater chance of resolving the argument. Read the rest of this entry »

I had been watching CNN since I woke up this morning to get informed on the ongoing Presidential Election in the US. At about 9:00 in the morning (Philippine time), Obama had 170 Electoral Votes already. McCain was somewhere between 70-90. The first party to reach 240 Electoral Votes will be the US' 44th President. And I just had the feeling it would be Obama who will win since the race started a few months ago.
What a voter turnout it was! According to analysts, most of the people who voted and supported Bush before were the one's who stood behind him on this process. And why is this? As we look on to the ongoing government, there is not much to say but disappointments. It is not a matter of what party you are, Americans are known not to waiver their supports just because the President has different views and ideals. And that's whats makes us a great nation. Because we love the country that provided us the comfort that we cannot find somewhere else. I am very proud to have witnessed a transition that is now part of a history. And to have that experience and being able to say IT happened in my time is something very remarkable.
America indeed has come so far from the time it gained it's own freedom to the time when the color of your skin determines your future. In everyone's opinion, racism never really faded. And finally to have a Minority stand on the highest position on the nation just provided so much hope to the new generation of Americans. Obama is not just a black President, but the president of whole America. The transition is on... and whatever happens during his term, it will still be a part of the transformation we are all experiencing. He and his time will always be significant figure in history that will set forth more changes in the future. The journey is still beginning and we all hope that change is on the way to better the American Dream.
